Is he going to have to pay extra for the V4R2 on the 510 as opposed to   
getting it already installed on the 620? With the price tag on the   
software these days, this might be a factor to consider. What would be   
the problem with restoring the user libraries directly from the save   
tape? Are there any other major factors to consider.

Gary, for what it's worth if the 510 will support V4R2, I would do it
first with all the planning of a normal rel upgrade. Once your HAPPY
with the OS THEN DO THE HW upgrade. I hate doing both at the sametime if
something breaks it may be hard to figure where the problem is
