I would like to submit the question again. Isn't there anybody in the list that can help us with this problem?????? -----Original Message----- From: Ronald Heerema [SMTP:news@silvac.nl] Sent: vrijdag 12 juni 1998 6:09 To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: ClientAccess ODBC and Stored Procedures with Result Set Arrays Hey there, I'm new to the list but I would like to submit a question. We are using Visual Basic 4.0, client Access ODBC Windows 95/NT to Stored Procedures and ILE RPG at OS/400 V3.7. Our application requires multiple result sets. All the reading we have done says that we should use Array Result Sets. (We also have your latest book on the subject). We have followed the procedures laid down in the AS/400 Client/Server Performance Redbook (SG24-4731-00) (which is at VB 3.0) and have that working for a single array result set. The ODBC Users Guide indicates that on the host side we can identify/use up to 20 results sets with the 'SET RESULT SETS'; statement (but only one array). When we tried to work this up for our application by receiving 2 Array Result Sets in the Visual Basic program, we receive only the second result set. The host side is quite clear and it is passing out 2 result sets. On the client side in the 'CREATE PROCEDURE' statement we have (for this case) spoecified 'RESULT SETS 2', and we know about SqlMoreResults. We have also looked at the documentation of OS/400 V4.2. and maybe will go over to this version. Can anyone help? We cannot see what else we should do on the Visual Basic side to process all the result sets the host is sending. If anyone else has experience with a situation like this please Help.
