It seems to work fine - the client must be on V3R1M3 and have a recent service pack installed (I'm running SF45363). The host must be V4R2. Then in your 5250 session, go to "Communication" and then to "Configure." There is a box for workstation ID. When you connect again, a device with that name will be created.
