TCP/IP _used_ to be a poor solution, when it was all written in Pascal. But that was v2r3 of OS/400. Now it's tremendous. I agree with Neil Palmer. Who needs the extra cost and complexity (translated, more extra cost)? As far as I'm concerned, Netware for SAA would be a backward-looking solution. And it's always a good idea to avoid the NS router that's bundled with Client Access, IMO. The TCP/IP solution now includes named devices and printer sessions. This should address the diverse needs of your users. The PTFs are all in place for v4r2, v4r1, & v3r7. V3r2 is coming soon. So, get CA v3r1m3 and the latest service pack, get the PTFs, and go with TCP/IP. Do the PTB understand a single solution that handles all the requirements?
