I was just assuming that most people would use the TFRJOB QINTER command frequently, and removing the job queue QINTER would prevent this. (We use it if working late at night, we TFRJOB QPGMR so QINTER can be taken down as part of nightly backup, and when it's done TFRJOB QINTER back). Also some of our initial signon programs do initial validation then TFRJOB QINTER (especially useful to make sure users that INSIST on running production work from the system console aren't actually running in QCTL at priority 10). :-) Neil Palmer AS/400~~~~~ NxTrend Technology - Canada ____________ ___ ~ Thornhill, Ontario, Canada |OOOOOOOOOO| ________ o|__||= Phone: (905) 731-9000 x238 |__________|_|______|_|______) Cell.: (416) 565-1682 x238 oo oo oo oo OOOo=o\ Fax: (905) 731-9202 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ mailto:NPalmer@NxTrend.com AS/400 The Ultimate Business Server http://www.NxTrend.com > -----Original Message----- > From: ericadelong@pmsc.com [SMTP:ericadelong@pmsc.com] > Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 1998 10:14 AM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re[2]: CHGJOB > > > Neil, > > just a question.... why NOT remove QINTER jobq?
