Thanks! Excellent snippet! Also I will hit my Softcopy on my PC to check the 'ILE Reference'. When I have my program read my text file that is on the 400 now, won't I also have to do an ADDPFM first, with the name of the Source member that I am attempting to put in my Src-PF (QRPGSRC), before the OVRDBF to the specified file member, then I will just populate (Output to) the Source member. I think the UC (User OPEN/CLOSE control) feature of the F spec is very cooolll!! Am I correct in my assumptions? ---- Tim & Dana Truax... and Caleb 4 years old.
