Negative values behave just as they do with any other zoned numeric value. For neg vals, the last position represents value using x'Dx' indtead of x'Fx'. (-4.4 is coded as '004M') Also, as with any other zoned numeric fields, decimal point is implied by the field definition. If you are needing edited values, such as '004.4-' to represent the value -4.4, then you'll probably have to write a program to edit your data before you transmit. Also, the remote system would have to understand any implied decimal definitions you've used. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
