Hello,

I'm new to the list, but I have a question involving RPG...or more to the
point VARPG.  I'm getting a CPF4248 error when running my VARPG app.  I know
what the error means although I don't know how to correct it.  I looked up
the error using DSPMSGD.  However, VARPG doesn't tell me which of the 6
reasons is causing the error.  Furthermore the error has something to do
with the CCSID.  All I know is I can't open or get access to a db file on my
AS/400.  Even though I can define the fields and access their definitions
using VARPG.  Can anyone shed any light on this?
