OK, let's walk, er talk!  If you want parameter type
checking, use the right tool - ILE RPG. ILE RPG will
give you that, plus allow you to define parameters LIKE
db fields, plus value parameters, and more.

But then again, can't you define parms *LIKE db fields
in old RPG?  Why not use *LIKE DEFN?
