Steve,

Not to worry. Since you have already read the instructions through to the end,
making note of any special requirements that may apply to you, and the
dedicated system time requirement (which is usually pretty accurate), and
reviewed the PSP information, you have already completed task 1, although you
may wish to run RCLSTG before doing the apply. Note that RCLSTG also requires a
dedicated system (restricted state), and can take a significant length of time,
which will vary based on processor and the amount of DASD. Nobody knows how
long it will take, but it will be longer if it hasn't been run for a long time.
You are usually safe if you can let it run for 8 hours, it could be done in 2
hours or less. Your mileage will probably vary.

Task 2 is to make sure you know the support line number, your customer number
and password if applicable, just in case. You won't need it, but it can't hurt.

Task 3 is to very carefully and deliberately follow the instructions, checking
off each step as it is completed. The instructions are very thorough and skip
nothing. Just do what it says. Also, have a supply of manuals on hand for
reading (and possibly junk food for sustenance) while you're waiting for the
system to finish applying. Hint: It takes much longer and can be damaging to
your health if you watch the little LCD with the SRC codes.

Task 4. SAVSYS and SAVLIB *IBM so you don't need to re-apply the cum if you get
stuck restoring the system.
