follow up on my previous question: I was reading my Softcopy DDS books... Thank God for em! If my physical file is classified as ACCESS PATH MAINTENANCE(*IMMED) and I have a user that goes into a job for a period of 25 minutes and the file being update is considered OPEN the whole time, then the ACCESS PATH MAINTENANCE(*IMMED) action associated with the file will not occur until the user signs off the job...thereby closing the file? And if another user gets in and out of the same job wholly within the first users 25 minute period, then their updates and adds to the file will be done first.
