Bill,

You can specify *SECLVL for most types of compile.  This will cause the second 
level message information to be included in your compile listing.  The default 
value for OPTION is *noseclvl.  Just use crtrpgpgm xxx/xxx OPTION(*seclvl), or 
CRTLF xxx/xxx OPTION(*seclvl).

Is there a source for a full description of the error messages for RPG   
and DDS compiles. I am getting the error message "CPF3238 Key field xxxx   
not same as previous formats" that is preventing the compile of a logical   
file. I am converting from S36EE to Native and this is one of the   
obstacles. Thanks for your help. Sorry to interrupt with something so   
trivial but there must be a source for these error message descriptions   
and some kind of recommended remedy.
