I'm trying to set up SNADS so that I can send a save files between 2 systems hooked up to an ethernet network. As far as I can tell, everything is set up: QSMTPQ distribution queues on both ends, TCP/IP, SMTP up and running, directory entries set up, host names set up. Is there something I'm missing? When I try to send a file, I get the message that the request failed with code X'0005'. Looking up the code, it means Unsupported Function. When I send the file, it does get to the sending machine's distribution queue and it's status does go to Sending but nothing shows up at the other end. Both machines, by the way, are attached to the same router. Anything else I need to check?
