We use a 6400-09 which we purchased at the beginning of the year. We love it. It is so much quieter than the printer it replaced (Genicom LW1255). It can actually be running with the printer room door open and you can't hear it printing unless your in the room with it. You won't want to use the Draft mode as it isn't easy to read but the next step up (Text mode I think) is very acceptable and for us the diff in print speed is negligible. If you print mult-part forms you may have problems getting the print through any more than 3 copies. We had a form that needed 5 copies and have problems with the last copy not showing the print dark enough. Your printer supplies will most likely be cheaper as well. We pay around $6-7 (in qty) for a print ribbon which lasts for several thousand pages.
