Sorry folks, I got the model number on the IBM weighing scales wrong. The IBM Weighing scales that I'm looking for info on is a model number 7593. If anyone is using one of them then please let me know. Thanks again, Frank. ______________________________ Forward Header __________________________________ Subject: Connecting a Weighing Scales to the AS/400 Author: Frank Meaney at GW3 Date: 4/23/98 3:19 PM Hi Folks, I have a client that wants to connect an Industrial Strength Weighing Scales to their AS/400. They currently are feeding data from their Shop floor devices into a PC (Using software called DCS 2, I think ?) Now I don't claim to know anything about this, however I have been told that there is an IBM wieghing scales (a model 4595 I belive ??) In short ; 1) Has anyone used any type of weighing scales directly or indirectly connected to the AS/400 ? 2) What problems could we encounter ? 3) What Scales are currently in use out there and where can I get advice on them ? Any help is appriciated as always either diect to <Frank.Meaney@Nellcorpb.com> Or via the mailing list.
