  • Subject: Redirecting Tape Drive Message
  • From: Joe Giusto <JDG@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

does anyone know how to force a copy of a message to another user
profile?

here's the problem:

when we do our nightly backup, i've noticed that the history log has a
message (sent from QSYSARB2) CPF6792 Device T2 needs to be cleaned.
(apparently not enough to stop the save.) A copy of the message gets
sent to QSYSOPR. the problem is that no one really monitors message this
MSGQ. what i would like to do is have this message sent to another user
profile (or two) so that this message will "hit us in the face" and we
can clean the drive before it does stop the save.

i realize that we should just have someone clean the drive every day
anyway, but if we could get this message, we would know that someone is
not cleaning it (with the exception that it could be a bad tape).

thanks for any help you can offer.
