Jeffrey,

Thanks for the reminder! We received a PTF for SQL under V3R2 last week for a
problem discovered at my client (thanks to Todd Hansen in Rochester for his
_excellent_ service with this problem BTW, even if the client _DOES_ think
that patches to the database handlers ought to have a two-day turnaround
;-)!). I'm not sure what exactly caused the problem (wasn't privy to the
cover letter), but SF47251 corrects a problem one of our developers
experienced joining a large file to a small one with select and sort criteria.
The query ran for a _LONG_ time and finally terminated with a machine error
(MCH0601?). The problem manifested itself under both SQLRPG and interactive
SQL. The query still runs like a dog, but no longer blows up!

Regards!
