Paul,

If its not normalized,  Then use a HLL.   RPG would not have any problems
testing for that.   Define the field in a D/S and Define the the 3 positions
as a test field and do the test any number of ways,  CHECK, TESTN, etc.

SQL is not a end all, be all in the land of Real Life(read non-normalized)
data.
