Problems transferring files between PC and AS400

× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I'm having trouble transferring files to and from the AS400 from a PC with
client access for windows 95.  I keep getting the following error message :-

                Unable to start database server

I've issued STRHOSTSVR *ALL
Anyone any ideas?

        Were using V4R1 and the client access service level is V3R1M2
SF46059and I connect via TCP/IP using IBM's personal communications ver4.1
