That's just a regular backup, not a complete backup (with LIC & OS/400 saved), and you can easily do the same as that with your own program called from the job scheduler and run in batch (plus you can tailor your own program). Then again, unless you've changed your licensed program products, OS/400 release, or applied a cum package, there's really no reason you need to backup all that stuff (LIC & OS/400) all the time (as long as you have at least a couple of complete backups, or just the SAVSYS piece, since last time you did change any of those). Your regular nightly backup can (and I would suggest SHOULD) backup the parts of a SAVSYS backup that can change frequently - which can be done with SAVSECDTA and SAVCFG. I would also suggest you do a RTCFGSRC *ALL *ALL to a source member as part of a nightly backup (preferably before you backup the library you retrieved the source into).
