-----Original Message----- From: ericadelong@pmsc.com <ericadelong@pmsc.com> > >Hmmmmmm. OK, here's a list of CMNE's for QCMN. I'd seen references to QCASERVER >modd in CA install guide, but never quite sure if that was supposed to be >QSERVER (typo?). I have a modd on the AS400 for QCASERVER, but NSrouter does not >use QCASERVER. Do I need to change that entry, or just add the new one? No, QCASERVER is not a typo, it is supposed to be in there. Just add the new one. Additional explanation: The real issue is that *ANY modd - it's what acquires the QSERVER mode jobs that are supposed to run in the QSERVER subsystem. Adding the QSERVER modd with Maxact(0) to QCMN tells it not to use the *ANY modd for jobs requesting QSERVER mode, and that the maximum number of jobs that can use QCMN's QSERVER modd is zero, so then they go knock on QSERVER subsystem's door, so to speak. We had this problem on V3R6 over a year ago, and IBM told us to put this modd in QCMN as the best solution, since we had reasons why we couldn't guarantee that QSERVER subsystem would always be started before QCMN (not good ones, mind you, but not easily eliminated at the time). I'm going to be on vacation for the next week, so if you have more questions don't become impatient with me for not answering.
