As one that is certified by IBM as an RPG programmer and as an AS/400 sales
associate. I believe that it does make a difference. The IBM certification
is relatively new and might need a bit more time before it becomes more
accepted. IMHO it makes you stand out ahead of the rest that do not have a
certification.
