I've never seen this command before. I have used this exact program for many years and I always do an OVRDBF for both the data file and the save file. What is the difference between the two override commands? -Walden -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Neil Palmer Sent: Tuesday, March 24, 1998 7:03 PM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Sending AS/400 objects via PC, email, etc. It's a tough one - will probably take a few days to debug ! :-) F* CPYSAVF - COPY TO/FROM A SAVE FILE & DATA BASE FILE. This used the CPYTOSAVF and CPYFRMSAVF commands from QUSRTOOL. The process was to: 1. Save the objects to a save file. 2. Copy the save file to a physical file using CPYFRMSAVF. 3. Download the PF using PC Support. 4. Reverse the process at the other end. This has worked before, and I have even successfully distributed software via email attachment. But... Since IBM doesn't give away QUSRTOOLS any more, some people can't compile the utility. Does anyone know of another method to accomplish this task? Diskettes are just soooooo much cheaper than 3490 and DLT tape cartridges... Thanks.
