An '010' ? Next someone is going to claim to be old enough to remember an '001' - or would they have started with an '000' ? :-) I think there was a 1401 card reader on my first S/3 ! At my first two jobs I remember the THINK sign hanging on the wall. Maybe if these signs were still hanging around in EDP/MIS/IT/Title-of-the-week departments we wouldn't be seeing all these lemmings rushing to jump on the NT bandwagon ! (He says, as he ducks under the desk - no replies necessary !) :-) Neil Palmer AS/400~~~~~ NxTrend Technology - Canada ____________ ___ ~ Thornhill, Ontario, Canada |OOOOOOOOOO| ________ o|__||= Phone: (905) 731-9000 x238 |__________|_|______|_|______) Cell.: (416) 565-1682 x238 oo oo oo oo OOOo=o\ Fax: (905) 731-9202 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ mailto:NPalmer@NxTrend.com AS/400 The Ultimate Business Server http://www.NxTrend.com > -----Original Message----- > From: Leif Guldbrand [SMTP:leguar@inet.uni2.dk] > Sent: Thursday, March 19, 1998 3:12 PM > To: Midrange-L > Subject: Re: IBM Maintenance Withdrawal > > On 18 Mar 98 at 3:35, Neil Palmer wrote: > > > 1.3.1 PLANNED DATES FOR WITHDRAWAL OF MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT > >SERVICE IBM will withdraw from maintenance the IBM machine > >type/models listed below: > > > > EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 1998 > > *************************** > > M/T MOD DESCRIPTION > >---- --- ---------------------------------------- > >0029 ALL CARD PUNCH > >0082 ALL SORTER > >0083 ALL SORTER > >0088 ALL COLLATOR > >0129 ALL PUNCH > >0548 ALL INTERPRETER > >1403 ALL PRINTER > > > > > >Anyone old enough (that they'll admit) to remember some of this stuff > >? > >Neil Palmer AS/400~~~~~ > > > <blush> Yes, the first seven! </blush> > > But as I remember (correct me if I'm wrong), there was at least > three more 'monsters': > > The 0620 INTERPRETER > and the CALCULATOR (can't remember modelno.) > and also the 1401 CARDREADER. > > Btw: At that time, IBM delivered a nice badged to be hanged > on the Wall, with the text: > > T H I N K > > (compliments of *IBM* corporation) > > I know - I'm looking at it now (as I do every day) !!!:) > > Anonymous !:) > =.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.= > Leif Guldbrand - EDB-konsulent > E-mail : leguar@inet.uni2.dk > WWW : http://inet.uni2.dk/~leguar > =.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.= > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
