Yes I know L date works and I use it all the time from the time IBM introduced
it.  But I prefer to store them as CCYYMMDD which gives me some flexibility.
What I would like IBM to do is offer the L date in display files.  Also I wish
they allowed the system date (the DATE keyword) in DDS display to sport the
Y2K
format.  But lowly V3R2 people like us cant get what the lordy V4R2 does !
