If you are planning to print to the Marknet adapters over IP, you only need
to CRTOUTQ. If you print to the Marknet over LexLink, you must use
CRTDEVPRT.

In our case, I run CRTDEVPRT for all of my printers -- whether IP or
LexLink -- so that I can coordinate printer ID assignment inside the S/36
environment. The devices for IP printing are just placeholders. I modify
the parameters as required by the system. They don't have to be accurate.
You cannot start writers to them. But some of it will be used to create
the default OUTQ. Then I modify the system generated OUTQ from SNA
settings to the appropriate IP info.

When I start writers, I always STRRMTWTR *ALL (for the IP printing) first
followed by STRPRTWTR *ALL (for the LexLink printing).

P.S. I don't get caught up on this list very often. If you need more info,
email me directly.
