RE: re: MSGLOC Are you using the OVERLAY keyword on the MSGCNTRL format of the MSG subfile? I use RSTDSP(*YES) on my display files(don't comment on performance, I don't care). I use OVERLAY and PUTOVER on all formats except the HEADING format(that one washes the screen each time) and I use OVRDTA on my data fields. You put up the other formats, and then (without OVERLAY) when you put up your msg control format it washes the whole screen I bet. John Carr EdgeTech ----------------------------------------------------------- I just ran across something and can't imagine how to fix it - I am not even positive of what is wrong. I just converted an old Sys/36 screen to an externally described spec. and added validity checking and error messaging to the program. There are three panels that are used in the program, two of which start on Line 19. How do I make a MSGLOC(##)for them? MSGLOC(06) fails catastrophically, and MSGLOC(24) clears line 19-23 of the screen, leaving just an error message showing. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
