We will continue to provide support and PTFs for these releases as we have customers on those versions of OS/400. As we bring out new versions of our software, we determine what the minimum release level that we will support. Last spring we came out with Version 2.1, and decided that we still had too many customers (about 25 out of over 500) on V2R3 so we created a version of OS Director that would work for those 25 customers. We always try to accomondate our customers. Unfortunately, this means having more machines than you can squeeze into a room, and it is going to get worse as IBM goes to 2 releases of OS/400 per year (to remain competitive). I beleive that a company that is focused on its customers, will try to do the right thing for their customers. Now we all know that if you have a CISC machine, the Politically Correct thing is to be on V3R2, but unfortunately not everyone has the financial means, technical resources, or perhaps there is some other reason that they have not upgraded. My two cents for what it is worth.
