Doug,

System API QWCRSVAL will let you retrieve any system value
without calling a cl program. Below is the RPG code to use:

C MOVE *BLANK $SCHDT 36
C Z-ADD36 $SCHLN
C*
C Z-ADD1 $SCHCN
C MOVEL'QSRLNBR' $SCHNM 10 P
C Z-ADD128 $SCEBY
C Z-ADD128 $SCEAV
C*
C CALL 'QWCRSVAL' 69
C PARM $SCHDT
C PARM $SCHLN
C PARM $SCHCN
C PARM $SCHNM
C PARM $SCHER
C*
C 8 SUBST$SCHDT:29 $SSRLN

This works on V2R3 or better.

Subject: RPG Question

A quick RPG question: (If y'all don't mind!)

Is there a way to retrieve the system name in an RPG program?
(IE;
S10-------) (I didn't see it anywhere in the SDS)

Secondarily, I could retrieve it in a CL and parm it in. (Can't
you
RTVSYSVAL and get the system name?)

(Incidentally, we are CISC (obviously by the serial #!) at V3R2)
