My program was putting o_codepage into open flag. The other example that I had from Jon Paris (and Ray Bills), was not using that. Once I took out the code page, it worked. Oh, yeah, the codepage on my test file was different than every other file on my IFS. I deleted it and recreated it. But I still had to remove that o_codepage from the oflag.
