IBM's TCP/IP stack For DOS can be found in the QIWSTOOLS folder on the
AS/400. What's actually there are diskette images. You need to use the
LOADDSKF.EXE program on these files: S1.DSK, D1.DSK and D2.DSK to load the
images onto diskette, then run the INSTALL program from the S1 disk.

Here's the TCPIP.DOC file from the QIWSTOOLS folder:

The QIWSTOOL folder contains the install diskettes for the
IBM TCP/IP Version 2.1.1 for DOS

Three diskette images are provided and a program to write the
images to a real diskette.

The images are named:
S1.DSK - TCP/IP Stack 1 diskette
D1.DSK - TCP/IP Device Drivers diskette 1
D2.DSK - TCP/IP Device Drivers diskette 2

The program to write the images is called LOADDSKF.EXE.

To create the images run LOADDSKF as follows:
  LOADDSK S1.DSK a:
  LOADDSK D1.DSK a:
  LOADDSK D2.DSK a:

When LOADSKF prompts if the diskette should be overwritten type Y.

Subject: TCP/IP stack for DOS

This may be a little off the subject, but you guys are the best resource
for information. Thanks in advance for this and all the countless number
of questions I have posted and received excellent information for.

I have a need to hook a DOS only PC to a TCP/IP network for the sole
purpose of exchanging data via FTP with the AS400. After the PC gets the
data from the 400, it in turn runs a Procomm script (DOS version of
Procomm) that communicates with a BBS system in Italy.

I really don;t have the time or budget to convert the Procomm scripts to
the Win95 version (the DOS version scripts do not convert), and besides the
scripts work fine. I just need a way to FTP to the AS400 and feel sure
their is freeware, shareware or a commercial app that allow you to do
TCP/IP under DOS.

Does anyone know of such a product??

Thanks and regards,
Carl
