BIG MYTH - It has problems too !

Lori,the system[hardware & Operating system+ licensed Program Products] is
Y2K Ready / Compliant or whatever the words or the day but the
applications and infrastructures are subject to "all" the same issues &
concerns. Contrary to what users want to think IBM or the manufacturer does
not own that responsibility]. The 400 does by nature of it's architecture
have some advantages. but many [70%] are delaying to & beyond the limit of
full remediation. Even considering the positive advantages the system
architecture brings to the table. These are the SMEs that will bring the
Giant corporations to their knees in the suply cahin & client relationships.

Many are accustom to being shielded by IBM from technological change for
over two decades of advancement. That's Cool . But the application
stuff, supply chain, inter/infrastructure, e- business and all the rest of
user owned is theirs to address. It just cannot be done at the system
level. It is heuristic in nature !

IBM is making an effort to get the word out through its Partners in
Developemnt Group and at national user group meetings.
