I am getting a charge out of this conversation. Back in 1982 on the S/38, I fathered the concept of dynamic tuning with a product called "Charlie the Tuner" Now, if you were in the Boston area, Tuner and Tuna are both said the same. Every one said dynamic tuning could not be done, IBM and it would not work. They said I was a wacko. Here we are 15 years later, Charlie the Tuner is still working around the world. However, all those people that called me wacko are now doing the same thing but to a lesser degree. Will Rogers hit the nail on the head. "imptation is the best form of flatery" IBM will NEVER get performance tuning done because of their concertive nature. The ironic thing is that IBM spends so much $ trying to put business partners out of business by creating products like business partners. They should put $ into things to make the 400 more user friendly like "Tutorials on all panels" Peter H. O'Connor PAE Inc. 7 Riverway Rd.
