Client Access as/400 to pc file transfer

Help,

I'm having trouble downloading an RPGLE source member from the as/400 to
my pc.  the connection is sna, and I'm using data transfer in cawin for
NT.

any other file has no problem, (dds, cl, etc) but when I try from
QRPGLESRC all I get is junk.  Lots of it.  looks like hexadecimal.

the only difference I can see between them is the record length (112
instead of 92)

Is there something I'm missing?  Has anyone else had this problem?
