(USR 28.8 modems) In our case it's always been some program running on the PC which is stealing cycles. When the problem occurs and we shut down the PC (NT) there is usually a DDE task still running. If the interactive session is really bogged down, it doesn't seem to affect the screen refresh rate, just like a locally attached workstation, just the job run time. If the screens are painted quickly or slowly that's got to be a function of the PC receiving and processing the data stream. But just to play it safe, you may want to check out the device descriptions on each machine to make sure they are the same. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
