Well ... one thing I picked up from this discussion: I'm going to also propose
she replace her payroll package with some off-the-shelf stuff.

Sure, every client has "unique" needs; but are the needs _really_ unique? And
... can the unique stuff be solved by using Query and some reporting programs?
Most likely; we'll have to investigate.
