David, If you are only needing 5250 emulation to your 400 why not try
RUMBA/400. The version that came in the QPWXCRB folder on the 400 or the
client Access CD. It works under 95 as well as Win3.1. Plus you're
licensed.

It's only a 16 bit app but is smaller and works well.

Arrrgghhhh!!!!
I'm beginning to HATE Client Access!
I recently had CA/400 (I misremember the version number) installed on my
home PC so I could access the '400 via our dialup network.
Immediately after the install, I my windows95 system starts complaining
about a "Previous Version" of MSVCRT20.DLL. Ok, so I'll restore the
version that was in place prior to the CA install (luckily I did a complete
backup of my system before installing CA/400).
It's no longer complaining about the version, but now it will spontaneously
reboot itself (as if the reset button were pressed) for no apparent reason.
I figure it has to be a conflict with another DLL that was installed, but
I can't figure out which one. Right now I'm restoring my WIN95 directory
with the hopes that the offending DLL will be replaced with the original
version.
david
(sorry about the venting)
