Problem is that given the current architechural implementation it's as risky as it is elegant... Frankly, I'ld rather have a API into the interact user profile index. It's the index space that keeps track of which OV/400 document you were in last...which SEU member, etc. THERE IS NO SECURITY INFO HERE...and I only want READ access (although there are many greater minds than mine that would like write/update) ...but alas, it's a undocumented space and we get called low lifes for even thinking of it.... I found this index when we were doing some heavy mods to fax/400 to make it functional...needed to prtdoc the *last doc of a user in batch sans user intervention...so the index was the best place to get it...also needed to pass the name/fldr to a CLP for sav/sndnetf proceedures... Some little blond bimbo (NO it wasn't Carol!) called me a hacker for even asking about it... Dave, have you thought about having a AS/400 hackers list?? :) Don in DC metro ....reality, what a concept.... +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
