D02/04/10 - they are all in software charge group P10. You don't want to upgrade to V3R1 (you can't order it anyway) - although you will still need to do a 2-step upgrade to get from V2R2 to V3R2. Suggest you first go to V3R0M5, then V2R2. Beg, borrow or steal the V3R0M5 tapes - you're entitled to it as the upgrade charge is from ANY V2 to any V3. I assumed that as you had RPG & Cobol, you just missed Application Development Tools. Approximate cost (note number of PC Support/Client Access users) in US dollars is: *************************** SOFTWARE NEW ORDERS *************************** Product Description Qty License 5763-SS1 Operating System 1 1260 Basic One-Time UpgChg P10 1 1,400.00 1268 UserBase License NoCharge 1 9001 Basic Asset Registration 1 N/C 5763-PW1 Application Development Toolset 1 1144 Basic OTC UPG P10 1 575.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 N/C 5763-XY1 Client Access Family 1 2892 P10 Max User Cap 1 N/C 2898 Discount Use 1 55.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 5763-XW1 Client Access Windows Family 1 2872 P10 Max User Cap 1 N/C 2878 Discount Use 1 55.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 5763-QU1 Query/400 1 2233 Basic OTC UPG P10 1 320.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 N/C 5763-CB1 ILE COBOL/400 1 0197 Basic One-Time UpgChg P10 1 400.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 N/C 5763-RG1 ILE RPG/400 1 0215 Basic One-Time UpgChg P10 1 460.00 9001 Asset Registration 1 N/C 5755-AS3 AS400 System Software 1 1411 C/A Windows Family (5763-XW1) 1 N/C 1412 C/A (5763-XY1) 1 N/C 1501 Operating System 5763-SS1 1 N/C 1508 Query 5763-QU1 1 N/C 1512 ILE RPG 5763-RG1 1 N/C 1513 ILE COBOL 5763-CB1 1 N/C 1526 Application DevToolset 5763-PW1 1 N/C 2924 English Upper/Lower Case (SBCS) 1 N/C 3405 1/4" Tape Cartridge QIC-525 1 N/C 3520 Ship Release V3R2 1 N/C 9001 Asset Registration 1 N/C ========= Software MES/Upgrades OTC 3,265.00 ... All -- I have a client that has a small "D"; D02, D04 or D10 ?? This is a very small business. The OS/400 version is V2R2. What is the cost to go to V3R1 or V3R2? She has: * RPG * COBOL * Query * PC Support/400 Runs nearly ALL the software in Sys/36 mode. I'm concerned mainly about Year 2000 problems. I need to decide whether it's cheaper for her to upgrade or for me to rewrite her software for Windows (using VB or perhaps ASNA VRPG).
