  • Subject: RE: V2R2 to V3R1 (or V3R2) upgrade costs?

D02/04/10 - they are all in software charge group P10.
You don't want to upgrade to V3R1 (you can't order it anyway) - although
you will still need to do a 2-step upgrade to get from V2R2 to V3R2.
Suggest you first go to V3R0M5, then V2R2. Beg, borrow or steal the
V3R0M5 tapes - you're entitled to it as the upgrade charge is from ANY
V2 to any V3.

I assumed that as you had RPG & Cobol, you just missed Application
Development Tools.
Approximate cost (note number of PC Support/Client Access users) in US
dollars is:

        Subject: V2R2 to V3R1 (or V3R2) upgrade costs?

        All --

        I have a client that has a small "D"; D02, D04 or D10 ??

        This is a very small business. The OS/400 version is V2R2.

        What is the cost to go to V3R1 or V3R2? She has:

        * RPG
        * COBOL
        * Query
        * PC Support/400

        Runs nearly ALL the software in Sys/36 mode.

        I'm concerned mainly about Year 2000 problems.

        I need to decide whether it's cheaper for her to upgrade or for
me to rewrite
        her software for Windows (using VB or perhaps ASNA VRPG).

        Thanks.
