If they can't meet the deadlines doing it right, they just can't meet the 
deadlines. Many organizations need their individuals to slow down and 
invest more time making sure they are doing the right things so the 
organization as a whole can speed up. Fast individuals delivering the 
wrong software is little benefit. Some managers tend to think they can 
make things happen sooner by lighting a fire under individuals, when 
their proper function is to set up the right environment for effective 
collaboration between those individuals.
