The thought is, download the new service pack, test it, then get the PTF.
The FTP process is faster but you lose the complete connection with PTF
history on the 400, which is something I don't like losing. I do, though,
download with FTP first, until I'm comfortable.

Still, IMO, this whole thing is UGLY and STUPID. It's an example of new
features tossing out long-established and, IMO again, GOOD AS/400 practices
and standards.
