× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

James and Michel, thanks for the info.  Some additions to what I originally
wrote:

1) we are currently on an AS/400 model 300 running these programs.
2) these programs/files will be changed as part of our year 2000
    change stuff and the requirement to run a new plant on it.
3) I've heard that there is an I-spec to DDS conversion tool but I haven't
    found it yet, anyone know where I can find it?
4) any additional information would be very helpful, thanks.
