Hi everybody,

Here is a different type of request for you all. Since many of you are
AS/400 'gurus', I thought you would be able to give me a hand with the
following matter:

The Toronto Users Group for Midrange Systems (aka TUG) will be holding
its FIFTH annual Technical Education Conference (known as
TEC).

The event will take place on Tuesday May 12 and Wednesday May 13 1998 at
the Sheraton Parkway (just North of Toronto, ON,
Canada). We are planning for SIX concurrent sessions of 75 minutes each,
throughout the two days for a total of about 60 sessions, This
year, the theme for our TEC is "Engeneering the Vision --- doing the 'e'
thing".

We already have confirmed more than 30 sessions with about 10 extremely
good speakers (Laura Knapp, Thomas Hadley, George Farr,
Phil Coultard, Jon Paris, Susan Gantner, Jackie Jenson, etc...).

Here is my request: If you know of any good speaker who would be
interested in coming to Toronto for those two days to talk about the
AS/400, Internet, Data Warehousing, Java, Visual-Age products, etc,
please e-mail me at leo@tug.on.ca with names and topics and I will
be glad to follow up on those leads.

Along with the conference, a one-day 'Show and Tell' showcase is
organized for vendors. For a small fee, vendors will get a booth/table
where they can meet with the most captive audience. This 'showcase' will
be marketed and open to the 'General public' (ie AS/400 community) along
with the attendees of the conference.

On top of these 'topical sessions' and 'vendor showcase' two 'sessions
periods' will be made available to vendors to present their products.

If you are interested in any of the item above and/or if you want to
attend the conference (don't forget, Spring in Toronto is fantastic --
we may have hockey playoffs, basketball playoffs and a brand new
baseball season) don't hesitate to contact me at:

e-mail---> leo@tug.on.ca -or- phone (416) 606-5960 -or- fax (416)
495-0100

I will be glad to 'communicate' with you.
