How is she connected? Anynet??? If not, this probably won't help at all.

There's a keep-alive timer in the first page of the router properties. I
had trouble with this at first. Make sure the PC host table contains
entries for the AS/400 as:

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx name.appn.sna.ibm.com
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx name

If it doesn't, it will connect, but drop later.

The host table on the AS/400 must contain similar entries for the PC. In
V3 at least, it cannot handle DHCP.

With correct host table entries, I don't have trouble with keep-alive
anymore, but it can be set to 999 to effectively disable it.
