>> She connects and gets the printer session established, does something else and about every 7 minutes, her session is disconnected. Very << How is she connected? Anynet??? If not, this probably won't help at all. There's a keep-alive timer in the first page of the router properties. I had trouble with this at first. Make sure the PC host table contains entries for the AS/400 as: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx name.appn.sna.ibm.com xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx name If it doesn't, it will connect, but drop later. The host table on the AS/400 must contain similar entries for the PC. In V3 at least, it cannot handle DHCP. With correct host table entries, I don't have trouble with keep-alive anymore, but it can be set to 999 to effectively disable it. hth Pete -- - Pete Hall peteh@earth.inwave.com http://www.inwave.com/~peteh/ +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
