Gary, Attach a data queue to the OUTQ, run a simple CL pgm in batch that monitors this data queue. When a spooled file comes *RDY, an entry goes into the data queue, and your pgm reads the attributes of the spooled file. If you'd like, I can email you a CL code fragment that does most of the work...
