I have seen a few notes on this subject & after having gone through this with a customer here is what we have done... 1. Installed NT Server running WinCenter Pro(Custom version of NT 3.5) 2. Installed Ethernet on 400 3. User can log on to 400 or NT (NT for Pc apps) 4. Total Cost of this project for 4 stations, NT server, ethernet adapter, etc 13,000.....includes WinCenter Pro software(charges by the user) 5. I told the customer this was an expensive solution but they wanted it anyway..... 6. We are STILL having problems making this work correctly, the NT Server being a real problem 7. Most PC apps are NOT designed for multi-user operating system & this has caused most of the problems....... 8. We have managed to get Lotus Smart Suite to work(most of the time) 9. The users are happy (most of the time) 10 Don't try this at home unless you have a LOT of TIME to waste..... 11. IBM has NOT BEEN A LOT OF HELP IN THIS MESS. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
