When you try to run the .exe (suppose it's supposed to be a
self-extracting program) you get an error message that it's not a valid
Win32 application.  Won't run under a DOS window either. <<

I've seen something similar with a pksfx 16 bit app. Try unzipping it
instead of executing it.  Might work.
