Michael, Local files are handled almost the same way you do files on the AS/400. Only major requirement is that they be simple text files. Check the VARPG web page. Under the "Downloads" button they have some sample code. http://www.software.ibm.com/ad/varpg/download/downwind.htm Currently the only local database files supported is DB2.
