The Model 600 is PCI bus only. The 6141 ASCII WSC is an SPD bus only. So,
the 6141 is NOT supported on the model 600. An IBM letter dated 8-26-97
suggests to use a 5308 (Twinax to ASCII) instead. This, however, does NOT
offer remote printer support.

Subject: Model AS400e 600 question

Does anyone have any idea if you upgrade from a model 400 to a moel 600 if
there is any problem moving a 6141 ASCII WSC? One of my clients was told
the ASCII WSC was not supported on the model 600??
Any ideas?
Carl
