IBM does have a program where they supply 400s to universities which in turn 
teach a curriculum using same! You can get more details from your friendly 
IBM Rep, (who may not know what your are talking about).

Great ideaas!  At the very least, COMMON should offer free attendence to
local universities' comp. sci. students.  Even getting them in there to
see the stuff and maybe play around with it a little might open a few
minds.

Of course, it would also help if IBM started giving some AS/400's to
universities.  The e servers would be great - what univ. doesn't have a
web page?  What university wouldn't want a new free web server for their
web page?
